Operations & Sales Lead

ABOUT US

GoodGood Studio is a new upcoming reformer strength training fitness studio in Virginia Beach. We help people feel stronger in their bodies and more connected to themselves—on and off the reformer—because when people feel good in their bodies, they show up better for their families, their work, and themselves.

We’re building more than a workout. We’re building a place rooted in care, community, and high standards—where clients feel supported and challenged, and where our team feels proud of the work they do every day.

If you’re driven, thoughtful, and energized by the idea of positively impacting people and the Virginia Beach community, you’ll feel right at home. We’re looking for people who lead with heart, take ownership of their work, and want to grow alongside a studio that’s just getting started.

THE ROLE

The Operations & Sales Lead owns the day-to-day of GoodGood Studio: client experience, sales and retention, team support, studio operations, and the execution of our marketing in partnership with the Founder. This is a salaried, near-full-time role for someone who wants to own outcomes and think alongside the Founder to grow the company, not just execute.

RESPONSBILITIES

SALES AND RETENTION

  • Work with founder to drive lead generation through marketing and partner collaboration

  • Present and sell studio services and memberships to new and existing clients

  • Respond to all client and prospect inquiries across phone, email, and in person

  • Keep sales, cancellations, leads, and acquisition data accurate in the CRM

  • Report weekly sales and retention numbers with your read on what they mean and a recommendation

  • Treat assigned shifts as revenue opportunities: engage new and prospective clients before and after class to drive conversion and retention

  • Provide data and insights to help drive marketing decisions

CLIENT EXPERIENCE

  • Deliver a best-in-class, hospitality-driven experience to every client

  • Hold studio presentation standards: scent, lighting, music, cleanliness

  • Foster a culture of community and belonging in the studio for both clients and team

MARKETING

  • Collaborate with founder on execution of marketing campaigns, client journeys, and lifecycle communications

  • Think strategically about audiences and segmentation: who we're reaching, where they are in their journey, and what moves them

  • Build and maintain email and SMS journeys that convert intros and retain members

  • Support social and content execution in line with the brand

  • Work collaboratively with both Founder and Lead Trainer to ideate opportunities for sales

FRON DESK TEAM MANAGEMENT

  • Manage the front desk team: build shifts and schedules, and find backup coverage when needed

  • Lead the assignment of projects and create tasks for front desk to work during their shifts to minimize idle time.

  • Support performance feedback and check-ins in partnership with the Founder

  • Oversee inventory of supplies, towels, and retail stock which is owned by front desk and purchased by you

OPERATIONS

  • Maintain studio hygiene and organization across client and staff areas

  • Update SOPs and document processes in collaboration with the Founder

  • Track and report operational issues and improvements

  • Support founder with equipment readiness, repairs, and vendor communication

ADMIN

  • Use booking and CRM tools to manage client accounts and performance metrics

  • Ensure timely follow-ups and task completion through shared systems

  • Protect client data and comply with privacy policies

  • Enforce studio policies while supporting a positive member experience

  • A track record in sales, retention, and front-of-house operations

  • Strong project management skillset

  • Marketing execution experience: email and SMS journeys, lifecycle campaigns, and audience thinking

  • Comfort with CRMs

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • A self-starter who originates ideas and brings a recommendation to every problem

  • Genuine interest in fitness, wellness, and hospitality, and in how a small business grows

  • Availability to work some weekends, early mornings and evenings,  if needed.

COMPENSATION
  • Base salary of $45,000-52,000/year

  • After a 90-day introductory period, you become eligible for:

    • Performance bonus eligibility

    • One week of paid time off
